Back to the OP's question, what do I as a GLPer 'know' about Islam?

Largely what I have read about it, and what I have learned from Moslem aquaintances.

Overall, I view Islam no differently than I view the other two Abrahamic faiths.

All three are full of commonsense advisement on how to live an honorable life.

All three can be applied 'in the spirit of the law' nowadays to create goodwill, wellbeing, and prosperity among a people, as well as honest trade and business while interacting among other societies.

All three can be applied 'in the letter of the law' to produce anguish, torture, destruction, and war.
