The gun was not "in" the gun show. This happened at the entrance where they (cops) "check" (make sure guns are unloaded) guns being brought in to be sold. Guy had shotgun in a case and when he went to open the case to give gun to cop the shotgun went off before the cop ever touched it. Guy probably bumped the trigger when he reached into case to take gun out.

Don't bother coming at me for this question, I'm just trying to understand the culture, thanks.  aha and then you got all the gun freaks going on saying it was the cop that did it If you had any reading comprehension you would've seen that I referred to the comments below the article referring to information that was obviously scrubbed from the news story.
