I am of the opinion, as I've seen others here and there are also, that the inconsistencies are intentionally glaring, to confuse those who are not discerning and put them off further investigation, and to pique the curiosity of those who have at least a bit of that capability developed. The bastards can play it anyway that's useful, baffling with bullshit at minimum and sorting people into red and blue piles, which is a certainty, depending on awareness or even vague interest concerning this latest in the series of faux events designed as the next episode in an ongoing ridiculous reality.
