Bill Maher: Privacy under attack, not guns
According to Maher, invasion of privacy is the norm in our new "quasi-police state", and it happened while a significant chunk of the population was at home guarding their guns and the rest of us simply weren't caring (everyone except Jodie Foster, obviously).

"The only thing that still has bipartisan support in Washington is not giving a shit about privacy."

Yeah I hate his ass too but don't you find it odd that Maher a lifelong Democrat is calling this government "quasi-police state"
yet he donated 1 Million dollars to Obama's campaign, maybe he feels cheated now

Anyone who denies that gun are under attack, cannot be counted upon to be accurate about anything.

Yes, privacy has BEEN under attack for decades. But even a blind pig (Bill Maher) finds an acorn every once in awhile.

Re: Bill Maher: Privacy under attack, not guns
Privacy is definitely under attack, so he's right by saying that. Guns are part of privacy. If you had your privacy and didn't do anything to lose it (like committing violent crimes), then no one'd know if you had a gun in your house or not. Because if you are a competent, law abiding person it is really no one's business.

I have hated Maher from waaay back, i can't take two minutes of him without becoming enraged!

I believe he has always known what he was doing and the consequences of his words.

Whatever is his agenda now, i don't know.

If he mysteriously ends up dead, sudden heart attack, vehicle brake failure, or who knows what, then we will know that he woke up. (but then that would be a victory for all involved).

“The Redcoats, they never wanted your gun — they wanted your liberty."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29171399

That is a dangerous lie.

"The British commander established his headquarters in the Wright Tavern and set his troops on the search for arms. Seven companies were sent to cross Concord's North Bridge and proceed to Barrett's Farm, where British intelligence had determined that military equipment was hidden...

As the redcoats in the center of Concord pursued their mission, they discovered and burned some wooden gun carriages. The fire spread to the meetinghouse, and the smoke rising from the town, easily visible from Punkatasset Hill, convinced the Minutemen that the British were burning their homes.

"Will you let them burn the town down?" Adjutant Joseph Hosmer cried as a call to action."

Overzealous gun control 'liberals' should learn history, stop trying to trigger war and work together with 'gun nuts' to protect citizen liberty.

I'm all for a ban on fully automatic weapons for citizens, police and military.
