On my Samsung (Android) in the last two weeks I wanted to download three different apps (not Facebook) and it asked for permission to know where I am at all times and a couple of other things that I didn't like. I don't even remember the apps. They weren't widely known names. Needless to say, I didn't do it.

At least they're telling us what they want to do. Will there come a time when they don't inform us?

Also, remember to check the box that says NO automatic updates.

This is the same with the Xbox kinect which can see everything in the room and hear everything for the 'experience' to be wireless and personal. Supposedly the newer 'smart' tvs have cameras and listening devices as well for face and voice recognition. We also now have appliances that are 'smart' appliances that use 'apps'.

Facebook is only the tip of the iceberg people, everything will be able to spy on us. And don't forget that school which sent laptops home with students only to find out they were watching youth at home in their rooms.

I have an old flip phone with a battery that I can remove. It took 2 years to train people not to call me on the cell. I only put the battery in it if I have to text my kids. Even then I just hit random buttons and send. When they get the message they say, Its mom sending gibberish again, we need to call her to see what she wants.
