He,O'Keefe, also went to vote without an I.D. at several places. One place he said he was Eric Holder and the guy working the polls said "OK here's you ballot"

This seems a bit of a biased way to look at things. Whether they are gun owners or not, I doubt they'd be interested in advertising a lack of protection in the midst of their gun-friendly neighbours.

Again, I don't get this push against limiting ownership of assault rifles.

maybe about 100 of them left, and they live on little farms in Oregon, Montana and Idaho..lol

I thought about it and realized that the real hippies, the ones who wanted to "drop out" and go live in an old farm and be self-sufficient, might consider themselves "liberal", but they didn't think of themselves as Democrats(they hated Johnson who escalated the war, as much as they hated imperial Nixon)

They wanted BOTH parties and the feds out of their lives, and they were definitely in favor of self-defense and having the power to stand up to their government

The problem is, they got demonized and lumped into other categories, lest people wake up and join them. The feds used the war on marijuana as a way to discredit anyone who didn't want to live life as a corporate serf or go to war for resources without asking a question...and it mostly worked

back in 1982, this prof told me to watch the price of higher education, because that is what they were going to use to make sure that no college student ever rocked the boat again (I guess they remembered that many recent revolutions began amongst the children of the middle class who were in Universities, from the Russian to the French)

I began to predict even then, that the price of college would soar to a level unseen in our lives, so that kids leaving would be encumbered by the equivalent of a ton of bricks around their necks, a debt so huge they would never even think of rocking the boat

and so it has become reality
