Can't believe people still think it's 1 even after the order of operation was posted. For those people who need links. [ link to mathforum.org] Uhhhh.... In the order of operations multiplication and division have the same priority Jack you find your answer by going left to right when you come to a situation where you can either divide or multiply. I can't believe you think you are more intelligent than others. You are a 100% correct. parentheses first now we have 3/1(3) Multiplication and division left to right. Now we have 3(3) x=9 Answer is 1. How are you just removing the slash? You can't just remove the slash. 3/3=1
