Arctic Blast with Lightning Storm - WTF?!

Lot's of noise in the sky here in Maine, around 4am. Now we have extreme gusty winds like a Noreaster, but without the snow.

SPACE WEATHER-Susan Rennison...she has laid it.

That cold front came through like a freight train. Loud and fast. Still windy here. Buffalo ny.

Northern Michigan, last night around 8ish.

Weather turned instantly from a light rain (straight down) to Heavy Snow, 60 MPH winds blowing the snow horizontally. I was working outside at the time and the transformation was startling. Like a switch was flipped…

This was accompanied by lightning and thunder, which is very unusual in January. I'm not saying it has never happened, but I certainly don't recall it happening before. They were forecasting 12 to 18" of snow, but I only see about 3 or 4 inches out my window this morning.

I live in Michigan too (Kalamazoo). VERY windy indeed. This "snow thunder" (lighting and thunder during snow showers) seems to be a new phenomena as I don't recall it at all when I was younger. Only the last 2 yrs. I have noticed that cold snaps and heat waves seem to correlate with CME's.

It's not BS you moron. I'm sure you could confirm the reality with a small bit of investigating with google. I witnessed it myself and I can also confirm that "snow thunder" has become a new normal in the Midwest the last couple years.

toronto ontario here. i went to sleep at like 12-1am and then i heard rumbling and lots of windguests. I guess the rumblling was the lightning.. I had my eyes closed though but i felt odd

That's funny that you should mention this! My hubby and I live in Ontario, about an hour north of Toronto, and we woke up last night to the sound that sounded like a jet, or a tornado sound. The wind was so strong, that was our first thought, was a tornado. We didn't see the lightning, but is just seemed so strange in January!

I wnet to bed erly last night for the first time in months (before 11pm) and woke up to a brown outtage here in SE michigan... HRM.. had some Gnarly ass dreams too..

never seen anything like it. last night driving about 1am,southeastern michigan..high winds blowing debris all over road..looked like scene from wiz of oz. The lightening is what freaked me out..it looked like transformers blowing out. Never seen anything even close to it.

Geoengineering creates frankenstein monsters like 'thunder snow'. There's very little to nothing natural in what passes for weather these days. Don't believe the crock that disinfo shills it the mainstream media will try to feed you about unusual atmospheric conditions causing it or that 'thunder snow' is a rare but long-standing phenomenon. It is a very new and very artificial creation.

Chicago area and the blast was coming thru around from 10:00 to midnight Saturday. I saw lightning flashes around 1:30 am on Sunday morning.

I barely got any sleep here in Toronto. The howling wind kept me up most of the night. At one point I looked out the window and it looked like a blizzard outside. The roads were clear by morning though.

Fucked up shit here, blizzard came in this morning, died out, then it was Sunny, clear, and -20 all day.

I remember a snow storm with lightning about 15 years ago in Boulder Co. I thought it very strange, and it is the only time that I ever experienced it. Weird times.

I am in Michigan as well on the lakeshore. I was laying in bed watching the Barrett Jackson auction and I thought our condo was going to blow away. I didn't hear any thunder and had the drapes closed so I didn't see any lightning but I seriously was getting concerned with the wind. Not too bad today.

There was a crazy cold front/storm in South Florida on Friday Morning. The clouds looked like a solid giant wall! it was amazing.

I've lived in Canada,( Montreal, Thousand Islands, Toronto, Northwestern Ontario, Yellowknife, Edmonton, etc.) most of my life. I never saw snow and lightning here, but I saw it once in Jerusalem (Feb. 1986). There was thunder and lighning with hail that turned to snow. I don't remember much wind but the streets are very narrow in the Old City.

But, it's very hard to predict lightning and it didn't last very long.

For what its worth I have.

We called it thundersnow. However it was lightning and thunder while snowing. Was super cool.

I have also experienced lightning with no thunder and vice versa.

It's not that we've "never seen ANYTHING" before; it's that it is WINTER and we (in Toronto) should have snow, not rain, thunder, lightning, blizzard-force winds, with barely any SNOW!
