Re: Wanted: 'Adventurous woman' to give birth to Neanderthal man
What the hell, any volunteers?

A leading geneticist is on the hunt for an 'adventurous woman' to help turn back the hands of time - and give birth to a Neanderthal baby.
George Church, a genetics professor at Harvard Medical School, believes he can bring back the extinct ancestor of modern man after more than 33,000 years.

As a victim of a sexual attack I guess I can give them props for asking.

I don't think it falls in category of "Human Cloning," but here some links anyways:

I do wonder what the efficacy is with cross species on this one; Sounds kind of like The Island of Dr. Moreau stuff.

Neanderthal crossed people already exist, and we aren't sterile. Anyone with European ancestors is part Neanderthal.

Ha yes, good point. I was just reading about it, naturally only after I shot my mouth off.

Seems they had bigger brains than modern humans too.

Stronger... possibly smarter?

This idea of bringing them back just seems worse and worse.

Re: Wanted: 'Adventurous woman' to give birth to Neanderthal man
Some of the things discussed about improved Neanderthal traits and modern man(excluding the negro sub-species);

The larynx of a neanderthal was shorter than ours meaning their voices would have been much higher pitched and clearer due to their large chest cavities.
male pattern baldness
Neanderthal DNA with the accompanying DNA traits of art, music, communication(others yet undefined) perhaps societal.
The latest Neanderthal DNA analysis to current seems as if male pattern baldness and predominant brown hair and eyes have been added to the Neanderthal DNA traits of non-african subspecies.
Higher integrative and social functions, (for example, decision making),visual memory, language and 'theory of mind.'

They've redefined Neanderthals as Homo sapiens neanderthalis, while we're homo sapiens sapiens, which would make neanderthals a subspecies, so we could still interbreed. Species classification has become more precise now that we have DNA analysis - before you had to mainly rely on observation of phenotypic differences and results of breeding.

Larger olfactory bulbs, relatively wider orbitofrontal cortex, relatively increased and forward projecting temporal lobe poles appear unique to modern humans. Such brain reorganization, beside physical consequences for overall skull shape, might have contributed to the evolution of H. sapiens' learning and social capacities, in which higher olfactory functions and its cognitive, neurological behavioral implications could have been hitherto underestimated factors
Differences in the configuration of the olfactory sensory apparatus, and its previously discussed involvement into higher olfactory functions in social, and cognitive (memory) aspects.
Although different regions of the prefrontal cortex (frontal lobes) have been associated with higher integrative and social functions, (for example, decision making), regions of the temporal lobes are traditionally related to visual memory, language and to theory of mind. All of them are compatible with higher olfactory functions.

Matriarcal DNA meaning the homo sapien males preferred the Neanderthal females until there were no more homesapien females.

There are many subsets of negroid, the low IQ average is the Sub-Saharan. The Australoid, more closely related to modern Caucasion(with Neanderthal DNA) has a relatively similar IQ. Interbreeding at any point in the lineage will 'average up' an IQ.
DNA research indicates Homo erectus left Africa and met up with Neanderthals at least 1,000 generations ago. Sub-Saharan negroes have 10 generations or so since they left the primitive native conditions of Africa as slaves.
That same DNA research indicates all races of current civilized H.sapiens have Neanderthal DNA except the Sub-Saharan negro.
All races(except Australoid) with the H.sapien/Neanderthal DNA blend have average IQ's of 90-105, Sub-Saharan negroes average IQ is 70.
It's either the lack of +990 generations of civilized/social living or the Neanderthal DNA blend that is the cause.

Reinforcing the argument there has been little/no civilization advancement for sub-saharan negros in 50,000 years(1000+ generations), while other human races interbred with Neanderthal and advanced to current modern society.

NO! This is insanely wrong!!! You don't breed people for scientific study for any reason. If they want people to study ...they need not go any further than the ones running our country and their scientists....

Neanderthal man paid no taxes. Neanderthal man could not have his rights taken from him to "secure his liberty". Neanderthal man did not watch Oprah. Therefore Neanderthal man is not a person as defined by the socialist consensus fo reality we find ourselves in.

Now, if you talk rights for vegetables, then we should find consent from Monsanto first.

Professor George Church, what is your problem? Just get yourself a sex change operation and carry the baby yourself. Doesn't this Haavard prof know we now have technology to do things like this? He is way behind the times.

once born, who is going to raise, educate, provide a home, medical care, food, clothing, etc., to this creature for the next 50 or 70 years? Will it be able to learn and be educated or a life-long drain on welfare to cater to the ego of some idiot geneticist?

This is a HUMAN you're talking about creating (again.) Maybe there is a reason they went extinct? Like extreme propensity for violence? No sense of right/wrong? Or worse! WTF is this bastard thinking about (or not thinking about) anyway?

I'd suggest Moochelle as the perfect candidate. She'd be doing her duty as the first(worst) "woman", and she's got hips and ass big enough to hold the kid. It'd be payback for the taxpayer funded vacations and shopping trips she took.

I am not worried about neanderthal man usurping our place in the world but this still seems dangerous and short-sighted. Who knows what 30000-year-old disease or genetic defect we are bringing back into the world? Maybe these neanderthals-human hybrids will prosper and start to interbreed... The day could come when it is no less frowned upon than any other mixed race child. Will we see a rise in male pattern baldness? Or will it be arthritis or some other degenerative disease?
