The latest a 2.2 Here's a map of the swarm location. [link to www.seismo.unr.edu] This is right on top of an old fault line. Perhaps not as old as once thought. Here is a Nevada fault line map.....pretty cool.  [link to www.nbmg.unr.edu] It's a big map....takes a while to load....be patient. The swarm is right above the Columbus Salt Marsh, you'll see it as a horizontal yellow fault. Update: 5.1 on Feb. 12 |

Thread: Strange little EarthQuake SWARM in Nevada ongoing If you line up the Hawthorne swarm from 2011... Thread: NEVADA EARTHQUAKE WATCH...(Update-8/08...Hawthorne swarm resumes) and this new swarm, along with the Scotty's Junction swarm... they are in a nice diagonal line that parallels the Nevada/California border. I think there might be a bigger fault under there that runs all the way down to Beatty.  Anyway....I'll be keeping an eye on it. |

(only one there). ... an added note of trivia...no zombies either it's a sad little town that is dwindling into nothingness... most buildings are vacant with alot of them collapsing...from age... |

How's the economy there .really...in other words, I've always seen Vegas spring back from economic downturns several times over the past 30 yrs and I'm thinking of moving back there because the economy in other areas is very depressed. is it coming back there? |
