hey OP, think about the good memories. It helps when your a bird fan. I'll think about the time NEON came onto the field for a punt return (1st touch in the NFL) he caught the ball and went 70 yds!!!!!! They are a good team. The niners were just better today. Maybe they can convince Gonzales to stay on another year.

I think there is a good reason for this though. Good defenses start to eventually figure out your schemes after a few quarters of play, so it get's harder to make all those deceptive tight end screens work play after play.

You had the same problem with Seattle last week as I recall. The difference is that the niners are slightly better against the run than Seattle and also I think the niners have a more balanced offense.

At any rate, congratulate yourself on being a true fan through years of misery. I used to route for the niners back in their misery years myself.

One other problem with being a fan, is that most of the time you eventually will suffer disappointment. They have balanced things out so that there are very few dynasties these days.

Even here in New England, despite their many successes there are a lot of long and sad faces today. Fortunately my favorite team, the niners are in. It doesn't happen very often.
