OP....I looked up your car. It may not use a MAF sensor....but instead use a MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensor.
Those were the early days of EFI systems in many cars so there are lots of ways manufacturers were toying with doing things. MAP sensor alone could have been MOPARS answer that year.
The MAP sensor could affect the injector flow.
Can you take a pic of under the hood, and post it, so we can see if there is any MAF versus MAP sensor for sure on that thing? If there is, the MAF would be before the manifold plenum.
