How 'bout Goodell destroying all of the evidence that they had against the Pats? That doesn't sound like the coverup of a cheating scandal involving not just the Pats but also the NFL? The Pats were given the green light by the NFL and Roger Goodell to film other teams signals, pratices, and especially specific plays. That information was used to create a database which included the specific plays, the players who would be used, and even when the plays would be called. In other words, strategy by the teams opposing the Pats was completely eliminated. That's why the Pats were able to score so many points and seemed unstoppable. The NFL wanted a large market team to take the reigns as the NFL's poster child after Steve Young retired and the 'niners went downhill. So they created an East-Coast version of the 'niners. Now they want the 'niners to take back the reigns. I hope the Ravens throw a monkey wrench into the NFL's equation and upset the 'niners. |

Though in Ray Lewis' defense it does seem like he's cleaned up nicely since his thugger days. I disagree about either Seattle or Atlanta being better. The niners simply outplayed them. They played 4 quarters, Atlanta played 2 quarters. That's how the game works. The niners offense has been improving under Kaepernick, thus making them a contender. If you want a rigged situation though, I think the NFC championship game last year was rigged. Two kickoff fumbles by the same player? I have to wonder if Vegas got to the young man.
