Re: 5 minutes sums up the calamity of Fukushima... still ongoing folks....
dear citizenperth,
i have always relied on you posts for the story of fuku.
i remeber the day and time it happened,
i'm in california and i totally freaked out.
i remember when i was a kid, and cherobyl melting down,
then for years, with no internet, none us us 80's kids knew anything about what what happening there.
i am so greatful foe your posts. (i also like fukushima diaries
if anyone is intersted)

i've seen the genetic mutations in veggies that have been happening in the past few months since fuku.
i just wanted to tell you, since the msm will never say this,
that i am at the beach in southern california,
and my corn,squash,tomatoes,broccoli,coliflower, and figs
are all coming in mutated. i really didnt think it would happen down here, but it did.
i have a small family little veggie, organic garden in my backyard. i have had this garden going since i was 5.
i've never seen mutations like this ever!
my orchard plants did not blossom last year, but they are sprouting new stems now. i'm almost positive the will grow in mutated.
i dont know how to post pics here, but i saved the mutated corn,,,it was just too freaky.
i just had to let you know what up in so cal. i'm so scared and sad. don't know what to do.
please keep up the good work. xoxo

We've seen similar reports here on GLP, but it is good to be reminded that this won't be going away any time soon.

I wish your report showed more recent stats OP. Those would be pretty hard to get when monitoring stations don't report anymore. A good investigative reporter is needed, who can get access to monitored results...

What a nightmare, for Japan, and eventually the rest of the world.

Thanks Perth for all your updates. Amazing how no one talks about this disaster anymore and it still hasn't been contained yet. I wonder how much time we have left before mass sickness is reported.

ps. i was afriad of the radioactive rain, so i covered my crops with plastic when it did rain(like a total of 7-10 day light rain so far since i planted)
i even really did "take in the totmato plants", they were in "topsy turvies" when it rained.
my crops were only watered with tap water, with a "filter" that was supposed to take out all the "bad" stuff.
just fyi...

what really freaks me out is that all our veggies in the usa come from central california. i'm in so cal and getting mutations.
2011 they said not to eat strawberries or spinich or dairy products from california, but nothing now.
i honestly only buy veggies/fruit from mexico now because im in cali. i still can't believe my little garden has mutated!
i always check radiation station in santa monica(close to my house) and it really hasn't gone up much here since the begining of fuku. i remeber before fuku the "alert level"
was 60(now it's 100). ive seen it way above 60, like 900, in differnt parts of the usa, but not here in so cal. and if im having mutations at 40-60, i wonder what's happening in those areas.

yes. 60 WAS the maxium allowance. it was changed to 100,
mabey three weeks into fukushima. i used to check this site all the time . especially with all the radioactive leaks in san onofre,ca.nobody used to check back then, but i've always been concerned about the beach and dead fish washing up, so i checked alot. especially when a million dead fish washed up in redondo beach, right next door to me.
