Did anyone else feel the triple whammy? They happened today, around 3:20pm CST. I was at the computer when the first two extremely loud *BOOMS* happened, one right after the other. The first one startled my dogs, and the second one upset the dogs so badly they started barking and tearing around the house. Crud, when their hackles go up, my skin starts crawling! At first, I thought a tree had hit my roof. I went out to check, but there was nothing amiss. The third one was smaller, and within minutes of the first two. Hubby called from work just before leaving the office to come home, and I asked if he'd heard the booms. "Heck yes!" Initially, he thought something had hit the roof of their office complex (he's about 10 miles from here); he and his staff went out and scoped the grounds and the roof, but nothing was out of place. The building maintenance guy thought someone was beating on the big double doors to his location, but when he went to the doors, no one was there. The booms were loud enough to bring several people out of different offices in the complex. I'm north of Dallas, immediately off IH-35E. Did anyone else from this area hear anything? Redhead |

At 3pm, I was in Rockwall and we didn't hear anything. I wonder what it was too. Have you called the Denton news to see if anyone found out anything? I would be really interested to find out. |

North of Dallas in Denton County. 29026 Thanks for the suggestion. Hubby's going to call them from work in the morning. Hubby's over near Bartonville, and I'm off Lewisville Lake; as loud as it was here at home, it's apparent that they had a more intense experience out at his complex. Wonder if there's any seismographic record? Again, thanks! Redhead |

Earlier tonight, probably around 5 central, a plane or something went over here, either really low or it was a huge plane. The ground rumbled and shook even it was so loud and we don't usually have any jets flying over, let alone that low. I went out to see what it was and noticed several of my neighbors had come outside too, so it wasn't just me. It was about half cloudy, but I couldn't see anything in any direction to tell me what it was or where it was headed. If it was even a plane. Any meteorite reports? |
