The comparison between the US and Rome is not accurate completely. Sure there are parallels, like debasing currency to pay for government spending.

The major difference is that there are no more "barbarians." There is only USA, Asia, and Europe.

Africa and South America are separate continents and their undeveloped parts are separated by a desert, mountains, or even a small sliver of land that can be easily defended (Panama). Further, the last "undeveloped" part of the proper continents (Asia, Europe, and USA) is quickly being developed by forcing the corrupt leaders to open their borders to trade and allow development.

You cannot force people to develop better technology. You have to let this happen naturally.

Another war on U.S. soil is way overdue and with how our rights are being questioned and taken away it's only a matter of time not an if it will happen.

Not to mention the other things that sheeple have turned blind ears to due to the government giving us the reasons when it's blatantly obvious that there is something really wrong going on.

War on developed soil is never imminent.

Development necessitates war, not the other way around.

Once developed, one must defend against those who do not understand development.

This can be done through a) guns or b) welfare.

There is some reason that there is an intention to reduce welfare temporarily. The real reason I do not know, but I can guess that there are certain agenda items that cannot be pushed forward without some kind of real civilian threat to the long-term order.

One possibility is to remove the rights of states immediately (as if those matter anyway) and only have the federal government. This makes sense because the concept of National versus State is outdated in our current environment. It is not Mississippi versus New York anymore. It is USA versus world. Therefore, states rights are only holding back the ability of our nation to compete in this increasingly competitive world.

Another iteration of this is a true national ID system. You can implement this by making a national welfare card. Then you have 50% of the population with national ID cards. After this is implemented, you can slowly erode the idea of "states rights" as a fringe element, which they really are at this point. It is a bunch of people who are still stuck in a 1910 mode of thinking. People who are pro states rights are only that way because it suits their point of view. This viewpoint is unacceptable going forward, however, because we need to make quicker and quicker decisions and cannot have people with grandfathered rights holding the system hostage. A national ID card would remove one of the states' last real rights: to control ID databases. Combine that with removal of Medicaid control and welfare control, and states become quite literally an extension of the national government because the leaders depend on welfare votes to get elected (ie they must be compliant with national or they will not get enough welfare and their constituents will unelect them).

The only thing holding back the removal of states rights is that states righters have large amounts of automatic weapons. That is why I believe this whole shabang is not about the collapse of the US government, the dollar, or even destruction of the welfare state.

This is about formalizing what has been known to be true for many years: states are completely dependent on the Federal government. Example? Interstate repair funds. Federal government has dictated that the drinking age needs to be 21. Anyone who listened got money, anyone who didn't received nothing. Gradually, all 50 states changed to age 21.

Federal is tired of having to bribe state officials to push through anything. It is tired of having corrupt state politicians who do not understand the realities of this world from blocking progress. State officials constantly pose roadblocks to national agendas and truly should be sidelined. And that is most likely the purpose of any type of welfare collapse.

As far as I can tell, they want us to be scared. Scared to speak out, post on fb, go viral. Scared to let us have arms, scared because the power is with us, we the American people. We pay the bills and fund their wars, lifestyles, craziness. But the trick is the illusion they have created, that web should all sit down and shut up, and it is working.
