Only in USA and Canada, but in the rest of the world the title is gave to anyone who teaches. Professor McCanney is not a doc, but he taught Math for University Level for years in Cornell in Physics and Math departments and to some Universities in Latin America. So he have international career in Academics in University Level so HE IS a Professor.

Well this phd washout has now proven he is not an expert at astronomy. He's proven he can't even be trusted to tell the truth.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

He is Mathematician, Physicist, Master in Solid States and Nuclear Fusion. What is astronomy other than physicist, math and observations applied to the stars?? Don't forget that physicists have a lot of more physics than astronomers!
 Quoting: glauco

He failed to attain a PhD. A master's degree in physics is a consolation prize for someone who couldn't cut it in a PhD program. You are making a false appeal to authority, and amazingly you still fail to see that he's flat out lying now. He started this because of Pete's images, now that those images have been debunked he's now lying by claiming Pete's images are a NASA hoax because NASA showed his images "without the companions" (hot pixels). That is a flat-out lie. When NASA showed Pete's images, they still contained the hot pixels. He's just making shit up.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

1-) He never ever stated his thoughts regarding companions on C/2012 S1 with these Pete's images, he have his own source of informations. Every time in past 10 years of weekly radio shows that he uses NASA or any other publicly available sources, he states immediately;

2-) Generally people first take a MS or Doc degree before going to PhD, this is the path he followed. If you knew McCanney's history, you would know that he was about to take his PhD course on Cornell, but he decided to first get hired as a substitute teacher to use good space data. He had problems with Astronomic department at Cornell, who don't likes people around talking about Electric Universe, so he get fired and decided to not get a PhD status.

3-) You push authority and uses too much scold.
