If i were chicken I wouldn't put mccanney's claim to the test. I will do so my way, not according to your terms. You could claim that some bs YouTube video that everyone was buying into and copying is proof you're right and wouldn't have anything to do with the size of the comet anyway. How do expect to be able to tell if a planet has moved out of place with your eyes? You have an observational armillary over there? I doubt that very much. So here's what would happen, some bpeirce2 like character comes out of the woodwork, claims the planets' positions are off, everyone starts to dogpile on it and say "yeah, I thought so too, I was looking at it last night up in the sky and it was some place I had never seen it before!" and you would then declare "victory" over absolute bullshit. No. Not going along with your stupid crap.

I will precisely measure the positions of the planets and asteroids with high resolution astrometry when this comet comes by. When nothing is found to be out of place, I predict you will fail to admit you were wrong. Nevertheless, I will show that this comet's physical nucleus is not the "size of earth or larger" as claimed. Additionally, I will show in the very near future that the comet is not being "orbited at 2 LD" by "companions," and I may just embarrass McCanney in doing so.

Mars is so close from Earth that a little change in it's orbit would be enough to anyone accustomed to look to the stars to realize it, and I'm not even talking about little changes, I hope to see big changes. But if the orbital movement looks hard for you in this case, we can focus the bet on electrical discharges naked-eye visible between the comet and Mars during its passage. This would be so wonderful and impactful to everyone in the Earth that I guess it will be unquestionable. Also we may use atmospheric and big surface changes like volcanoes going off, as small telescopes are enough to check if it's atmosphere turns from red to another color. Do you agree in these terms? After all, all you want is to embarass McCanney.

Wrong. You could not judge a "little change" just by eye. That's insane. That is why I will be measuring the planets' positions precisely using high resolution astrometry. If I'm wrong and McCanney is right, then those measurements will bear that out. If I'm right though, then those measurements will also bear that out.

ISON stands for International Scientific Optical Network, which is a group of observatories dedicated to finding and tracking objects in space. Leonid Elenin manually used ISON via remote control to find the infamous comet Elenin.

once again, Mccanney has stated that he was given preliminary information that the comet has compansions. He has stated that it is too early to tell but it would be exciting if the comet did have companions.

what I know is that mccanney, strange as he is, made quite a few correct projections years ago during the years of the comets when there were giant sized comets coming through.

and mccanney equivacates quite a bit on this new ISON. He says IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING WE HAVEN'T SEEN FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, ESPECIALLY IF IT SURVIVES THE PASSAGE ROUND THE SUN.


Gee, mccanney himself is making a lot of QUALIFIED statements, just as Never A Straight Answer is when they are saying this MIGHT be the comet of the century.

He claimed they were companions, he now claims that Pete's images were altered by NASA to make people think the companions were fake when in fact they're real. And clearly conspiracy theorists around the internet are using him as an appeal to authority on the matter. This is not the only thread with this claim straight from McCanney, I've seen others on other forums as well.
