WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS ONE HAS TO BE VERY CAUTIOUS BUT AFTER EXAMINING THE DATA THAT I HAVE SEEN I WOULD SAY THAT IT APPEARS TO BE REAL ... FURTHERMORE ONE OF THE POSSIBLE COMPANIONS APPEARS TO BE AT ABOUT TWO LUNAR DISTANCES (HALF A MILLION MILES) AND HAS NOT FORMED A COMA FOR SOME ODD REASON ... IF THE OBJECT IS ORBITING THE NUCLEUS OF THE COMET AT THAT DISTANCE IT IMPLIES THAT THE NUCLEUS OF THIS COMET IS POSSIBLY AS BIG OR BIGGER THAN EARTH ... ALSO WITH COMPANIONS WE WILL BE ABLE TO DIRECTLY CALCULATE THE MASS AND THEREFORE THE SIZE OF THE COMET NUCLEUS ... USING STANDARD ASTRONOMICAL METHODS ... NASA TIER II SCIENTISTS HAVE ALREADY PUT THEIR FOOT IN THEIR MOUTHS WITH AN ESTIMATE BASED ON SOME GEEEE WHIZ BAD SCIENCE ... Quoting: Carl the Sagan If comet ISON will appear to us in blue color as it approaches towards the Earth... when it makes the loop around the Sun and starts going away from the Earth, will it change it's colour to red because of the Doppler effect? This puzzled me few days ago and I can't find the answer No problems Bro - feel free to copy the one with the line breaks into your OP. Carl the Sagan (OP) User ID: 32722245 Serbia 01/21/2013 06:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Few nights ago while nicely stoned :), I was reading about Doppler effect and how we perceive approaching sources of light in blue colour and sources moving away from us in red colour, then I remembered Hopi Prophecy about Blue and Red Kachina which says Blue and Red Kachina are twins. And then I was like WHOA DUDE :) twins are made from same genetic material so maybe, JUST MAYBE, comet ISON is Blue AND Red Kachina. Prophecy says that first comes the Blue and then one day we will just wake up to red dawn when Red Kachina arrives (after the loop IMO) Carl the Sagan |

''Brightest ever'' does not equal ''normal'', it is actually furthest away from normal in my modest understanding. edit: Ok now I am wrong :) it is not furthest away from normal but half of that length according to normal distribution in statistic So what if it's bright? it's still a normal comet. Or do you still believe it could be the size of the Earth. LOL |

In fact many people who want their threads to be read now seem to post multiple threads at the same time about the same subject. I suggest that you abandon this thread and try it again. Go back, and use both upper and lower case, and be generous with the paragraph breaks, and maybe I will read your text OP. Thanks! Where does he show that the astrometric data reduces to an orbit consistent with a location near the comet, let alone "orbiting" the comet? He doesn't have any. As far as I am concerned there is no difference between an asteroid or a comet especially when it starts picking up friends along the way. Remember the crop circle? I will find it and post. |
