I'm 20. Was in 3rd grade, on the bus to school, when we heard. School was then forced to watch and everyone thought we were at war.

And at that age I STILL remember hearing about several vans with explosives found near a bridge, just cannot remember which one.

There are always going to be people born who don't remember significant events. I mean, how many of us remember Pearl Harbor? How many of us were even born then? So it is not surprising there are going to be people who do not remember 911 or who don't even care about 911 or any past events.

That is horrible making little kids watch that stuff. I didn't have a TV at them time so my family couldn't watch it thankfully. No fun seeing people jumping from buildings. That more than adults should see let alone children. My kids have no memory of it since there was no way to watch it.

Hey, I wasn't alive during Pearl Harbor but I studied it. You may not have been there to experience it but how hard is it to learn everything about it? Ignorance is NEVER an excuse, just ask any judge.

Of course I remember the Porsche 911.....duh!

Of course you can study it but it doesn't have the impact of actually experiencing history. I know my dad would not go to the Pearl Harbor memorial in Hawaii. But as a teen it didn't bother me. He was in the navy at the time so was impacted by it but I just studied it. I didn't have a reference to how it made him feel. It just wasn't 'real' to me. Just like 911 isn't that real to a lot of teens who have other things to worry/think about.
