I live in NJ and thank GOD that scumbag Corzine is gone or I'd be packing my shit, because NJ would be the 3rd state to fall in line. Mass, Cali, one by one they will fall in line and you can't even blame Obongo cause it was the states. Right now they're playing three card monte and gun owners are the dopes that have no clue how we keep losing. That's why my family and I are moving to a free state. Because when this type of bill is passed here crime is going to skyrocket (and it's cesspool as it is). |

Ive told everybody that I talk to about things like this....We are far beyond giving our representitives a phone call....or standing in front of a government building holding signs. Anonymous Coward User ID: 32583415 United States 01/22/2013 06:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | CT has become a multitiered state: It has some of the most wealthy and privileged suburban and rural towns in America, occupied by financial services professionals by-an-large, who commute to NYC, Stamford,CT [an outer suburb of NYC, with many corporate offices], and to some extent out of Hartford or even Boston. CT cities are arm pits. Hartford is probably proportionately one of the top most dangerous small to mid-sized cities in America. It's nearby sister city, Springfield,MA is also a pit. Combined they have a metro area of 2 million. Unfortunately, they're typical of many small-mid-sized cities throughout the country. They never recovered from the economic stagnation of the 70s and globalization and de-industrialization. New Have, home of Yale University, is also by-an-large a pit, but it has Yale and commuter rail service to NYC,70 miles away. Bridgeport, part of Greater NYC, is a pit. Only Stamford, about 1 hr from Manhattan, is OK. But the state has beautiful very wealthy suburban towns. There are many 'normal' people in CT and MA, but these two states have been pretty much politically taken over by the business and cultural elite of America as a place to live, send their kids and grand kids to school, and to vacation. They own the political process in these two states and they have A LOT of $. CT, MA and RI are southern New England, the urbanized part of New England. ===================== There was a pretty large pro 2nd amendment rally in Boston, on the common by the state house, this past weekend. I'd say there was 1000 people at least. And firearm ownership are still the norm in northern New England states, Vermont, New Hampshire,Maine. |
