102.7 Fever & chills ... mild headache and body aches
I've been doing VItamin D3 drops every couple of hours. 3000MG of Vitamin C (Emergen-C multivitamin + 2 1000mg vit c gel tabs) and will take more in an hour.

What else should I be doing?

I don't feel horrible -- just a little sleepy and cold/chills. But the fever has gone up from 100.3 to 102.1 in the last four hours.

**updated thread title to new temp
*currently going down again, hopefully for good.

Stop overusing vitamin C for a start. Then just relax and drink lots of water.

Edit: Hope you get better soon. Fever is never fun!

I've been taking 3000mg Vit c a day since Christmas. WHat happens with overuse? I thought you pee it out if your body doesn't use it?

Yes you pee it out. But you can also encounter problems such as, kidney diseases, diabetes and hypoglycemia. Sounds like a common flu. Try eating lots of garlic and keep the vitamin C intake to the recommended 60mg a day.

i've been dropping about 4000mg of vit c a day for 2 weeks

i had this flu and i'm 95% over it... i was just like you OP...

My advice is get a Nettie pot!

If I dont use one I will catch pneumonia!

if you cant break the fever... then walk... move and get ur body working... as long as you have a fever your body cant fight the infection very good!

get better and break that fever! :)

Olive leaf extract. Powerful Anti-viral.

Make sure it's 20% oleuropein.

I had the flu last year and took this on first onset of fever.

It was gone in ONE day. I shit you not. I tell EVERYONE about this.

750mg, 4 x a day.

thanks for the suggestions.

So farI am at 102.4, I kicked off the blankets and am just going to cope with the coldness for now.

I noticed that my arms are a little sore.

I also drank 8oz of cool water with colloidal silver in it just now. Will have some more in awhile.

Oil of Organo is great to mix with the Olive Leaf!

Also, if your temperature continues to climb like that, you may need to take some ibuprofen. It will knock out the aches and drop your temp. Just make sure you take the right dosage.

to break that fever quick take peppermint extract, just squirt some peppermint extract (pure, any grocery store should have it), and put around 3 - 6 drops in a cup of cold water, even with ice if needed. Don't use with babies, however.

Yeah -- I have read that tylenol is better for flu -- so I have some in my medicine cabinet just in case (even though I prefer ibuprofen). However I will try not to use it because I believe in letting my body naturally fight it whenever possible. I am one of those people who almost never gets sick so this is unusual.... usually its my husband who catches everything.

New research actually finds that ibuprofen is slightly more effective, but both do the job, and both are safe if used sparingly and correctly.

If your temp reaches 103, DEFINITELY break the fever. Otherwise you may end up in the ER with delirium.

i had a fever of 104, five years ago and I thought I was an airplane.

I told the people around me this and they argued I was not an airplane... and that I was very sick...

I told them the only way i would get better is if they said I was an airplane... i needed to hear it from them... I DEMANDED they say I was an airplane...

they did and oddly enough my fever broke soon after...

although it had nothing to do with breaking my fever...
at the time i was surely convinced it would make me better

lol
sucked

D3 5,000 IUs four times a day until you feel better.

Try not to get too freaked out about the fever. Your immune system is battling the invader and your body needs to release heat. The fever is just a sign that a battle is going on. Drinks lots of water......high quality water.....no floride, etc.

D3 is not a vitamin per se but a hormone. It stimulates production of approx. 200 anti-microbial peptides which are able to destroy the cell walls of invaders.

D3 also helps to regulate the immune system so that it does not behave in a disorganized manner and harm healthy tissue. This will help prevent accompanying pneumonia, Cytokine Storm, etc.

I am also talking out loud to my body / cells and telling we/them that we will not submit! That we will be victorious! and feel better tomorrow.

But ever since I saw What the Bleep Do We Know... I look at my little cells differently.

I had in 09 worst flu it was prob swine flu. my temp was 103.8 it was christmas day. no meds nothing. so looked online found a site about baking soda. so I had that. I did it every two hours like the one site said. and after three half teaspoon doses or six hours I had no more fever. the cough lasted a full week though it was not as bad.

I also used fresh garlic to chew and I had ginger I used as well in tea with lemons.

I think the combo worked real well. now I just use baking soda. it kicks virus and bacterias asses.

Hope you get better soon.
