TIME TRAVEL - Would anybody want to go back in time to CHANGE anything in their past?
Isn't the past what we are suppose to learn from? I think it would be really cool to go back in time to experience all kinds of events and learn from it but to change anything shows that we never learned from it. As difficult as our lives can be and all the "mistakes" we make, picking ourselves up and moving forward is how we evolve. As tempting as it would be to go back and change something in my past, it wouldn't be learning from it. I wouldn't know what I do now if everything it didn't happen the way it did. What would you do? Would you make changes in your past?

I'd go back to when I was 17, find my past self and say "dump her bro... dump her NOW!"

Being the person I am I know that if I met my future self my freakout factor would be zero, so it would be pretty smooth.

I'd dump her... she'd never destroy my head and cause a massive derailment of my life at the time, I'd continue on my life path and now would be picking up an award for my cover art on the latest issue of Batman.

Goddamn that bitch! >.<

from what i understand, you can't change the past. the past already happened so if you go back in time, that was already the way it had been in the present, in, the past. time is an open loop; everything's already happened.

I'm just speaking more hypothetical. If someone had the chance to change an experience, would they do it?

Re: TIME TRAVEL - Would anybody want to go back in time to CHANGE anything in their past?
You can't change the past, God can but we can't. If you wanted to stop someone from being born by killing his father or mother, that person would still be alive you just got you history wrong. The person would be from another father or his mother wasn't really his mother, just raised him.

Everything would be the same it would just be you got your facts wrong, the facts of the pass would change so that it would stay as it is.

You can change yourself and how you deal with your life but that is about all you can do.

There is many possibilities that God could come up with, parts of you split off as another person, because of something you had decide and another dominion came into being. If I can think that, just know God is infinite, can do infinite things, you can't think them up fast enough. No way you can beat God, you can only ask and he helps.

To change the past, would be vain, like you/ I make a difference. Also,( to CHANGE anything in their past?)shows regret, that "if only crap",nothing wrong with owning it.
Life is to short, for wasteful emotion.

I'd like to go back in time and prevent myself from ever being being born. Then I wouldn't have to be stuck on this planet.

I'd go back to about a year ago and not miss out on an opportunity and watch the girl I love fall for someeone else. I truly believe she was my soulmate and I let it slip through my fingers cause of some circumstances surrounding our friendship was afraid to push just a little bit further for what I really wanted which was/is her. Instead I lost that opportunity I got mad at her about it and lost my best friend in the process. So yeah def that.

Re: TIME TRAVEL - Would anybody want to go back in time to CHANGE anything in their past?
I would, but I would still know the events that took place in my existing past surely, changing something would only create an alternative future-scape that I would not be part of and thus would not learn from.

Thread: TIME is a concept, not a thing. The fourth dimension is motion, not time. Time is another tool for deception.

There's a lot I would go back and change if I could. But I think also maybe the path I've taken is fate. If I change anything then connections I've made might never happen.
