Anonymous Coward User ID: 32749245 Australia 01/22/2013 07:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's probably not the same thing that you get for Christmas but a pagan ex friend of mine once gave me some kind of table runner or altar cloth, it was black and it stank (they like to smear stuff with bodily fluids). She sent it in the mail. I used gloves to handle it and burnt it. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 32785019 Australia 01/22/2013 07:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ugh, um, some of it I'd burn, really they are swamping the marketplace with 'decorations' and 'bric a brac', you could be better off destroying the stuff that's burnable, the plastics and metals, I dunno. What sort of stuff did you get, just out of interest. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32749245 Yes I was thinking of burning some of them tonight. I don't know what they are because I haven't opened any. |

There is no law against love. They were given to you in love and they should be received in love and appreciated. To burn gifts given to you with love, is to reject that person's generosity and caring, and it would hurt alot of people if they knew. Hurting others is what God hates....not christmas gifts. Pray about it. I used to believe as you do AC, but I prayed about it and God showed me the truth about it. I've been softening my stance against the holidays ever since. |

I wasn't given some stinking black altar cloth smeared with bodily fluids out of 'lerv'. |

I have about 40 of them (large network of relatives and family acquaintances). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32785019 return them to the givers with a note explaining exactly how you feel and ask them not to do it again and to kindly respect your beliefs.(or non beliefs) Possibly. |

A lot of people find it a burden and an expense and will appreciate it, although they may resist initially. |

But how do you know they were given out of love even if they were from relatives and family acquaintances. That would have to be determined by the OP don't you think? |
