Unless you are stepford cookie cutter sheep. I loved how all the 2nd amendment people went on and on about how wonderful Switzerland was...a gun in every house, a gun for everyone. Que; deer in field, beautiful people, safe homes....LOL! Did you forget about their unrestricted abortion and assisted suicide for the love of your precious guns. Americans could never do this....to many dumbass hangups about life and death. |

[link to www.wwltv.com] NEW ORLEANS -- Starting Feb. 1 Louisiana will stop offering hospice care services to most patients on medicaid. The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is eliminating the service to families in the state due to state budget cuts. Critics are up in arms. "When you have a loved one that its ill and they're going to die and you know it and they know it and they want to be home, you want to satisfy exactly what they want," said Docia Kenney. Kenney knows hospice care well. Wednesday marked the one-month anniversary of her brother David's passing. The 53-year-old lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and received hospice care until the very end |

These seem to be the people screaming for the old people to die, you'd think it would be the communists doing it but in our modern world it's not. Look at all the people who identify themselves in the US as Conservatives calling for the old people to die here. |

The problem is.. who should make that decision..? I certainly don't think politicians should be involved.. nor a medical board. Last Edited by Waterbug on 01/22/2013 04:12 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32801883 On 2nd thought...just continue to graze old sheep. You obviously don't think deep thoughts about anything in life. You'll be gone soon enough. The generation that wants to live forever...ha ha ha! It's ok, go back to sleep. |

A person can choose to not be kept alive by artificial means. I have such a legal document. The difference here is that the state wants to make this decision, rather than the person. If it financially benefits an insurer and the heathcare 'industry' to keep a poor soul who is suffering in body and mind alive, even when the humane thing would be to allow them to die with dignity, they will. |
