Be careful with the feeding tube clause in your living will.

Even if you can eat solid food just fine, hospitals will insist on putting you on a feeding tube to save themselves the expense of having to hire staff to spoonfeed you and to decrease their chances of being sued if you should choke while being spoonfed.

So if you get into an accident that requires you to be temporarily spoonfed prior to your potential full recovery, your living will could kick in and lead to your untimely demise if the hospital should decide that using a feeding tube is more expedient.

Agreed; this is horrible and so is one of the other alternatives they use. What is often done is to murder them using morphine-- death within 36 hours.

The problem is people live longer lives due to medical advances, but the quality of live went downhill because most people are chronically sick due to poisons in the food, the environment, stress and unhealthy life style depending on medical treatment to survive.
We could have achieved life extension naturally and live healthy long lives, but this artificially sustained degenerative life...is it worth living that way?
