Did the same thing for a kid that went to the high school where I work. Kid had nothing, kicked out of the house at 18. I'm not rich but I helped him as much as I could. He acts like I'm some kind of saint or something. In the 5 years I was working with him and helping him out, I probably didn't spend $1000.00 extra on the kid. Small price to pay to see another human become successful. He's not quite there yet but I'm proud of him anyway.

Look,...Let me tell you something...Being a black guy their are a lot of thing that stur up anger in us..I mean bitter hostile anger the type of anger that screams out REVENGE!! But its people like those that stop soooo much evil! I have had people like that in my life!! They didn't give me a dime they gave me something even better, HOPE! I saw that ALL white people were not evil. I saw that many care. I could go to any book store and choose any book I wanted to read and their was no cop telling me i couldn't. When I had a terrible accident WHITE people were the first on the scean to provide help. A "White" surgeon repaired my injury.The first teachers (I still recall each womaNS NAME!)Help to teach me how to read, write, etc. So when I fell on hard times in my adult life and things seemed so unfair and I became sooooo very angry...I REMEMBERED!!! and it was those memories of great people...white people, that played a pivotal role in my life,that stopped me from doing something stupid that would have ruined my life. Did I still have adversity in my life ,sure everyone does but the spirit of the aboved mentioned people long dead live on in my heart and are responsible for saving god know who and myself as well. A little God goes a LONG WAY!!
