We were talking, discussing/brainstorming, and I presented this very notion: "Humanity in essence is a cancerous mutation, rapidly growing on the body of Earth, and will have awful consequences" - back in 1976 in discussions with a couple of friends - still in college. I remember they were taken aback, but being young, educated and open minded as they were, agreed with the basic tenets of my notion.

So don't fret folks, the idea is NOT new. It's just more timely now, and turned out to be entirely correct.
