Of course it's 1, I can't even understand how someone can get 9...
Quoting: Rockarchy it comes out as nine if you use the other order of operations, which is widely accepted and also taught at many other schools. I consider color to be mispelt, it should be colour. but that is just linguistic difference. I can fully understand how some consider the answer 1 and some 9. I answer it as 9.
