That is what the Story is about with Adam and Eve.....
 Quoting: christian

interesting that you base your entire
faith around a fabricated story
from a book that had 4 different authors.

Moses did not write the Torah.

The Torah had 4 different authors
over a period of years. In other words,
the Adam and Eve story changed 3 times
to make the story you now read in
the KJV of the holy bible.

see research from Univ. of Tel-Aviv
entitled ghostwriting the Torah.

Hebrews themselves proved their own
book to be fictitious.

If there were no God, man would
find it necessary to invent him.
~ Voltaire ~

invent him they did,
and made you a mind programmed
slave in the process.

this is exactly why science can prove
the book a total fabrication.

only a fool would put faith into a lie.
this is why faith is required to be
a christian because they have zero
proof of their doctrine.

from the horses ass himself, the pope.

"How well we know what a profitable superstition
this fable of Christ has been for us"
Pope Leo X (1513-1521)

First of all, who ever said that Moses wrote the Torah? Why would it be necessary for Moses to have written the Torah in order for it to be believable?

Second, I would like to see this evidence that proves the bible is fictitious. Just because the Torah was not written by Moses? I fail to see the logical connection there. I have a Catholic bible (New American Bible) right in front of me, and it details a theory or two about how the Pentateuch (the Torah) came to be written down after a long history of oral tradition. It states, "How should a modern religiously minded person read the Pentateuch? First, readers have before them the most significant thing, the text of the Pentateuch. It is accurately preserved, reasonably well understood, and capable of touching audiences of every age. Take and read! Second, the controversies are about the sources of the Pentateuch, especially their antiquity and character. Many details will never be known, for the evidence is scanty. Indeed, the origin of many great literary works is obscure." Continuing, the introduction states, "The Pentateuch witnesses to a coherent story that begins with the creation of the world and ends with Israel taking its land. The same story is in the historical Ps. 44, 77, 78, 80, 105, 114, and 149, and in the confessions of Dt. 26:5-9, Jos 24:2-13, and 1Sm 12:7-13. Though the narrative enthralls and entertains, as all great literature does, it is well to remember that it is a theopolitical charter as well, meant to establish how and why descendants of the patriarchs are a uniquely holy people among the world's nations."

Now, I will grant you that there are some 'bible believing' Christians who take things a little too far, but please don't just assume that all Christians are like the ones that get so much coverage in the media. That's what they want you to think, don't they? I have to say, Satan's plan is working very well - Christianity and, especially, the Catholic Church is very much under attack.

We Christians put faith not into a lie, but into the Truth. Read the Gospel and then come and tell me that what Jesus taught, what he proclaimed to be the Truth, was a lie. Once you realize that he is speaking the truth (and maybe some of us just have to get to a bad place in life to realize it), then you put your faith in Him, and that starts and incredible and beautiful relationship in which he reveals himself to us. The more faith we put into him, the more he is able and does reveal himself to us by proving that he is there and is working in our lives. And the more he reveals himself to us, the more faith we are able to put into him. It's really beautiful, and it is much, much more than just reading a story and believing what is written as fact.
