Now keep in mind this was a fairly high end Italian place that predominently employed college students, so our black servers were students from the local university. They were very well spoken. One night during prom season one of the black female servers got a 12 top of inner city prom kids. They ran her ragged with lemons and sugar for their water, ranch dressing, extra bread that was going straight into their gf's purses, and in the end attempted to stiff her for about half the check. Our mgr held us responsible for the bill when people skipped out on the check, so she caught them at the door. They were yelling about bad food and they weren't gonna pay for nasty food served by an uppity n%^!@$. The cops showed up and the kids kept yelling about how she was uppity, a traitor, not "hookin em up", and she finally said "This is why you get treated like animals!! If you acted like normal humans you'd be treated like normal humans! I'm here to pay for my education, not to hook a brother up!" |
