I have yet to hear the reasoning.  because the insurgents are Al-Qaeda, and Al-Qaeda is the military arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, and we don't want the fricking Muslims taking control of Mali. kapeesh. Let them take control of it. If they go FULL RETARD on the USA again they can then be carpet bombed on the nice flat ground. Again....is that land REALLY worth fighting over? Doubt it.
