Well, that's terribly sad, I myself take that stuff routinely because of pain in one knee.

Wow, sorry about your friend. Thanks for the reminder. I abuse these products myself when I'm under the weather. I'll be paying more attention to the dosages.

Also--sure everyone already knows this but NEVER
drink alcohol with tylenol products. Even ONE
alcohol drink can cause liver damage--saw a
20-20 program years ago about this. Why they put
alcohol in cold syrups like Nyquil plus the
tylenol is BEYOND BELIEF...but as always,
buyer BEWARE.
My deepest sympathy for your tragic loss--with
the health care crisis we are going to see
more and more peeps self-medicating and this
tragedy will probably happen to others.

This is because doctor's refuse to just give me something powerful.

Ive always thought it was a death sentence.

I have Crohn's, Back Issues (disk) and currently a tooth infection which on top of it all is painful regardless of how many pills i pop.

How did your friend die? liver? heart?

You would be amazed when you know the number of Deaths
from OTC like Tylenol, Paracetamol or Aspirin,
we speak here about 50.000 Cases and more in Europe!

Change your Doctor,
because this will destroy your Stomach in a very short Time!


For your Tooth Issue use Ibuprofen but not Tylenol
but the Internet is not good for medical Advise!

Liver failure. I am begging you to listen to me. If you do not stop the 16 Tyelonol (or any form of acetaminophin for now), your liver will eventually be damaged beyond repair. I know nothign about the other meds. Maybe you can return to a reasonable dose of Tyelonol someday.

If you were my brother or son, I would insist that you stop NOW. I do not know about the Robax or Oxyneos. Becasue you have taken so much Tylenol, I would advise against alcohol. If you can visit a doctor, share the details of the meds you are taking. Explain that you are afraid of liver damage. Reveal the TRUE doses you are taking, and do not be ashamed--you are just trying to live your life, the same as the young man I mentioned. If the doctor rolls his/her eyes, it is not to shame you, it is because the doctor is shocked and possibly thanking God that you reached out for help now.

I am NOT anti-medicine at all, and I occasionally use Tyelenol and Ibuprofin myself.

Please, you can find somethign that will ease the pain without killing you.

True--Internet is NOT good for med advice. At the same time, DO NOT EXCEED RECOMMENDED DOSES FOR TYLENOL AND OTHER OTC MEDS.

Thank you. In this case, it was well beyond occasional abuse. I think he used heavy doses for several days in a row. Then, and this is the kicker, the side effects mimicked flu, so I think he took more.

Any chance someone would provide a higher rating?

I would quit taking all meds if I wasn't all fucked up but I am and the docs won't give me something powerful enough because of all the drug addicts around here. The only people that are punished are people who are actually in pain.

What I need is to be given 6 oxyneo's a day not 2 then I could cut out everything else

Hi first i would like to say sorry for your lose.

am on cronic pain killers, with gabapentin for years. Terrible pain in my entire front chest area. Comes with sensitive and sore ribs with pressure under my lower rib cages. They say just manage the pain but never say what causes it. Also with multiple chest infectins through a year.

I understand what you all going through, and wish you all good luck and good health.

People tend to think over the counter pain meds are harmless,far from it!
Anyone taking meds for chronic pain should be also taking milk thistle to help the liver.

When are you going to remove that museum yourselfs.

Sadly, I think you are right. I am a Christian, but I would rather someone smoke pot before using too much OTC stuff.

I wanted to suggest that, but feared people would think I was promoting milke thistle for my own benefit. I personally use it regularly becasue I use prescription meds daily.
