If the French turn Muslim the rest of the world will follow. Quoting: SevenThunders Europe and America made a huge mistake stopping the Slavs from killing all the muslims in the Balkins. |

KnightOfTruth User ID: 55214559 United States 04/07/2014 02:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think France is one of the most accomplished nations in Europe. People usually give the French a bad rap, when they are in fact not such bad people. They are sort of snobby, arrogant, and like to whine a bit, but it might have something to do with their wine, baquettes, and women. The French were at the forefront of the Enlightenment, and they produced a great number of philosophers, mathematicians, and literary figures. Descartes, Rousseau, Diderot, Camus, Renin, Comte, and Hugo. The French have much to be proud of, although there are some bad moments in their history, such as the French Revolution. Dante, Robespierre, and Sant-Just were all interesting fellows, but the terror was unnecessary, although it had in fact been done in order to cull out spies against the French state. The ancien Regime was a failure, because it was too authoritarian and Catholic, although it was far better than the French "socialistic" Republic. The three greatest failures in French history was the French Revolution, the Revolution of 1830 against Charles X, which resulted in Louise-Phillipe rising to become the new "bourgeoisie" monarch of France, although he was later taken out, and the French Commune after the Franco-Prussian war. The French were quite good fighters under a Corsican emperor, but they got their asses kicked twice by the Germans, and many times by the English before then, especially during the hundred year war and at the of Napoleonic War. The French were horrific at maintaining their colonies, whether it was in the Caribbean, North-Africa, or Southeastern Asia. The French are very debauched and corrupt in certain ways, but then again they were the best the Catholic world had to offer, so I say a cheers to France the fountain of ideas and revolution in Europe. |

The French should have learned this when the Germans were kind enough to repay the favor of the French taking over the Rhineland and occupy it during Napoleon's time or during the time of the Confederation of the Rhine by letting them have Vichy France. The German has always been intellectually and culturally superior to the Frenchman, and has had twice the warrior spirit and clout to back their claims up. |

The French seem to go out of their way to be irritating and aloof. That said, however; I have also met some fantastic French people that I continue to be good friends with. |
