Sorry to break it to you, but America was FOUNDED as a Judeo-Christian nation and built on Judeo-Christian principles. That's a fact whether you and the atheists like it or not. Freedom of religion is a separate issue from our founding principles, and yes America is a nation for all religions. You are free to practice whatever religion you like, which is one of the reasons America is so great.
