Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able, and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? I would lay odds that is the most awful pain ever though. That gives me chills just thinking about it. Perfer et Obdura;Dolor hic tibi proderit olim.Fortes Fortuna Iuvat! I've broken bones, dislocated things, had a nail go straight through my foot, but nothing compared to a month of pain with shingles. The rash feels like a horrible burn 24/7 for weeks! Before I had the rash and knew it was shingles, I thought I had broken some ribs. The doctor said it was the largest shingles rash she had seen. Fun stuff! |

There is truely a reason it is also known as 'the suicide disease'. Number one on my worst pain list. Thank God for Morphine! Quoting: SkinnyChic Me too, all 3 zones. Rachmaninov had it as well, I think that's where the intensity of his music came from and why it always seemed to speak to me. |

Philly Girl User ID: 26693155 United States 01/23/2013 02:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh man, I once had muscle cramps. Normally you can relieve cramps by flexing the muddle the other way. But fuck once, I had cramps in the front of my thigh and also my calf. So I couldn't relieve the pain, stretch one way or the other, it exasperated the pain in either the thigh or calf. Fuck, that's the worse pain bro, when you're fucking helpless to do anything about it. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14840299 After my steroid shots I wake up every night for about 2 weeks with those damned cramps - worse ever in my life and no way to ease them so I understand what you're saying...it's a close second to my Trigeminal neuralgia - but I wouldn't wish either one on anyone. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 32801240 France 01/23/2013 02:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Massive kidney stone problems. Several years ago I had a very large kidney stone measuring 28 mm or 1.10 inches need removing. They (these guys at a local hospital here in France)subjected me to a prolonged bout bout of Lithotripsy without any pain killers and no management of the machine - just put it in place, set it to the max crushing capacity and left me for 20 mins. Well, that was horrendous enough, but they then kept me under surveillance for 30 mins then told me to go home and come back if I experienced any pain. HA! The next morning, at 2:30 am I very nearly went into cardiac arrest with the pain! They finally got me to hospital 2 and a half hours later and then I was made to wait from Saturday morning until Monday morning until the Doc had finished his golfing weekend. The last 6 hours of that waiting was spent pissing in my bed and without any pain killers, because this racist bitch of a French nurse didn't like my nationality. The doc arrived and - in French - asked me what the hell I was doing here? He then dismissively told the nurses to ship me to another hospital and walked out of the room. Believe me, if I had been able to stand, I would have knocked the living crap out of the lot of the bastards. But the pain - well LEVEL 20 out of 10! Luckily an arab doc in the hosp they shipped me to saved my life - just! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29546692 My friend dropped a huge pan ,fresh off the stove ,filled with bacon grease that had been cooking bacon in it all morning.I don't know why she was handing it to me but she dropped it before my hand had a hold of it and it went all over my thighs.Huge nasty burns!I had scars where you could see where it dripped from my groin down my leg.I was wearing a bikini at the time.I was very lucky though and the scars disappeared after about 5 years. Its a miracle those scars went away. |

1badmojo User ID: 1025927 United States 01/23/2013 03:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mine was a pinched nerve (I'm guessing). Was helping a coworker pick up a heavy box and put it on a cart. I twisted just the right (wrong?) way and ZAP. White hot pain took all of my strength. I went down to one knee and the pain didn't go away. Everything started to whitewash so I went all the way to the floor. It scared the crap out of my coworker. They said my face turned white and my lips turned purple. I almost passed out. I wouldn't let call 911 because technically I was suppose to be wearing a lifting belt. I didn't have insurance and would have been fired. I laid there for 30 minutes. The boss said if I couldn't get up he would have to call paramedics. Somehow I managed to stand up and walk back to my desk. As I was walking, my spine felt like a stack of teacups swaying to the point of falling over; one way of the other in one direction and the whole things falls. That pain beat my kidney stone by miles. "There is nothing new under the sun." "Even so, Lord, come quickly." |
