What is the worst pain you have been in?

I know there are people out there like that. Not gonna dispute that. I know people take pills for recreation use.

i have firbromyalgia & had a slipped disc in my neck. pain was so excruciating i couldnt move. had to be taken to hospital on a stretcher on an ambulance and pumped with morphine.

god i hope that never happens again.

Well, its a toss up between labor pain and ruptured appendix. Both were horrendous but if I had to choose out of the two, I think I'd choose my appendix pain. Plus the recovery time was a couple months.

I had 3 drains safety pinned to my skin to drain out the poison, and I had to keep having my incision ripped open so it wouldn't seal up before it was done draining.

They couldn't stitch it up because of the drains, so they used tape, and I could see my insides and flesh etc, really gross.

Gallbladder almost burst in the middle of the night. Most excruciating pain I have ever felt. Took an hour to get to the hospital and about that much longer for the surgeon to get there. They gave me demerol and it didn’t touch it. Then they gave me morphine and the nurse just laughed when I asked if I could go to the bathroom. “Sure if you can walk” he said. His jaw hit the floor when I got up and walked down the hall and back still reeling from pain. Then they gave me an epidural. That did it!

It was so bad, they had to perform the surgury the old fasioned way and slice me up because the offending organ was too bad to pull out otherwise. I got some nice metal staples across my belly to show off for a few weeks. Fun times.

The US uses 90% of the worlds supply of narcotic pain medication. FACT.

Don't blame flouride or fibromyalgia. Most of them are drug addicts faking pain.

Damn girl you're a trooper. I have Been lucky to never have a kidney stone. I hear for us men that is as painful as it gets.

nah, my fibromyalgia is very real. went from being peter pan to couch potatoe in a matter of 4 weeks.

god i wish i could have my wings back :(

i dont like felling drugger, so i only take one medication for my fibromyalgia & its not even one of the 'fun' ones: diclphenanc. is an anti-inflammatory & a life saver for me. when i have REALLY bad flare up ill take a paracetomol/codeine blend to help me sleep, but only rarely.

mostly i try and manage it with good diet/lifestyle & attitude.

there are lots of people out there like me & being labeled an addict by some ignorant internet troll, is offensive.

this study done in 2002 offers some scientific evidence to show fibromyaliga is in fact a REAL syndrome.

this research is ongoing and showing some really interesting developments.

Cipro caused inflammation in my jaw joint after a rough wisdom tooth extraction.

Excruciating, head killing pain and I could not eat for weeks. Oxycodon was USELESS against this pain. It was that bad.

There are some who do. The rest of us have to deal w/ "Pill Nazi's" because of it.

My choice was to be admitted while all the test are run, or take these pills that really only take the edge off, and use a wheel chair to get around for the next week.

the worst pain I have ever endured was when I got into a big
fight with my daughter, and we didn't talk for at least a month.
I cried for days and days.
I think emotional pain is worse than physical pain. At least when
your body hurts you can always take a pill.

Yes I am quite the trooper, and I was only 10 yrs old at the time. Just about died, but I guess it just wasn't my time.

I have heard Kidney stones are very painful, I hope I never get one.

me to buddy of mine had one and he was in horrid pain.

In order of pain from worst to less.

1. kidney stones - morphine
2. 3rd degree burns on my hand - morphine
3. migraines - empirin compound
4. getting married - pain didn't hurt at first but crept up over 20 years lol!....just kidding honey, yes, right away dearest sweet pea

Worst physical pain:

Having my broken leg set in the hospital. I was given morphine, but I metabolized it before they started setting the leg. Spiral fracture of the tibia and fibula, having my broken leg pulled into position and twisted so it realigned. I didn't know pain like that could exist, I passed out from it 2 or 3 times while they were manipulating my leg. Had three surgeries after that, two titanium rods, 13 screws, and 2 years of rehab, but all is well now and very small scars.

Damn my pain is nothing compared to yours and some of these other people! Thanks for your thoughtfulness you are to kind.

I will try. Been like this since dec 18th. Just been trying to ignore it. Pretty sure it happened lifting.

Went in for a c section, my fourth and last one. Had the spinal block with is horrific enough for me. Well the doctor cut through 3 layers before he stopped because I felt everything. He then put me completely under. Thank god it was my last child and I had a tubal cause I am now terrified! I can still feel that burning sensation in my incision at times, worst feeling ever!

OPIATE withdrawls......2nd was ACL knee reconstruction that started my opiate dependancy LOL!!!

Impacted wisdom tooth. Buried its way under the root of the molar in front of it, causing the good molar to eventually abscess. Let me tell you, the pain across my lower face and jaw was unbearable. Had to get the good molar extracted and the partially erupted wisdom tooth needed filling. Any cold drink or hot food touching it immediately was hell. All sorted for years now. Lesson learned? Don't put off a dentist checkup , not worth the pain.

Friend of mine had an emergency C-section and there was no time to block the pain. The dr. just cut right in because the baby was in severe distress. When it was all over, mom punched the doctor in the face.
