Quality idea. A few idiots give us sensible drink drivers a bad name. It's pretty fucking easy not to crash a car.

My cousin can be completely wankered but it switches straight off when he gets into a car. He hasn't done it for years, since he got more responsible but some people have driving as an instinct. The problem I see with it ever being legal is that lots of people have no control over their vehicles when off their heads. The arbitery limits set by the government are meaningless. Back in the day if the plice followed you out the pub and saw you get into the car they sould follow you home to make sure you got there safely and didn't do anything stupid. Up here(haggisland) they are seirously talking about lowering the limit to zero. around christmaa, when the police are set hugh targets for driving convictions how many people could potentially lose their licence because they were out the night before and pulled over for a random check. The current system is BS. Agreed, the vast majority who crash or kill are always something like 10 times over the limit. The current law is just about criminalising decent people who like to have a small drink or two with a meal at a nice country pub. Clearly these pubs will be places of the past before too long as with any remnants of civilisation as we know it.
