How to get girlfriend to stop complaining about video games?

i know it's popular these days, but i don't understand why adults like to play video games so much.

The sex happens mostly ever bight so that's not the issue

A relationship is built on compromise. Get used to it or don't have a relationship. That or marry a robot.

Stop playing them so much, and put her first.

I suspect she wants you to be interested in her. She probably wants to feel like you want to spend time with her and talk to her and make her feel like she did when you first met.

It sucks. "Same ol'" just ain't worth that kind of effort.

It's not about "video games" it's about "games."

The biggest medium at the moment is electronic so that's why video games are the popular format, but since the dawn of civilisation all humans, from kids to adults, rich or poor, from kings to peasants to slaves have always played games of some sort.


You may not play "video games", but I bet you play games of some sort.

So you don't have a paying job, but you do have a girlfriend that you live with...does she pay the bills?

It's impossible dude. Years ago my girfriend use to bitch all the time about how much I played. She finally began focusing on the noise/sound. I have a 5.1 surround system and like to play it loud.

So, I finally give in and get a set of good headphones. Things quiet down for while. One night, she locks herself out of the house. I'm playing.......with the headphones on.

I'm on the upper floor and can't hear her pounding on the door. We got into such a huge fight. She was fucking laying into me, i'm trying to defend myself about the headphones that SHE wanted me to use in the first place.

Anyway, we aren't together anymore which is a shame. That was the only point of contention we had with eachother. We got along great otherwise and the sex was awesome!

Someone said something about relationships being compromises and I agree, thats why I am working 9-5 for no pay every day to finish school and she works at a cafe. we have multiple tv and i bought her a $300 tablet so I wouldnt have to deal with that. She just hates sitting there while I play. I tried to get her to play zombies but she is too uncordinated to aim well. I just really hate when she says she wants to watch a movie and then I end up watching by myself bc she is too OCD to sit there. I think after 6 years of college and 9-5 work for no pay i deserve to play a litle bit of video games at night.
