I think the Israelis tried women in frontline combat units and it didn't work. Same with the Russians IIRC.
Quoting: s. d. butler Russians seemed to have some pretty decent female snipers during the second world war, however that was a different war where every able body was necessary. However women will not be spared rape and torture giving the fact that men from other military and religions have such disdain for women in combat. I hope they bring their A game if they indeed face full on combat, might as well keep a side arm with the last one in the chamber reserved to take their own life when the enemy closes in on their positions. the end result is its a sign of our over stretched military, degenerating morale, and need to provide for both domestic control as well as more forces for the 35 African nations that we are sending troops too. Sad day for america, and a scary prospect for those women.
