Getting down to real life: This year, the U.S. will likely surpass Russia and Saudi Arabia as the largest liquids fuel producer in the world

According to BP’s Energy Outlook 2030, unconventional sources will make the United States virtually energy self-sufficient by 2030, largely thanks to the shale gas revolution.

“The U.S. will likely surpass Russia and Saudi Arabia in 2013 as the largest liquids producer in the world (crude and biofuels) due to tight oil and biofuels growth…. Russia will likely pass Saudi Arabia for the second slot in 2013 and hold that until 2023. Saudi Arabia regains the top oil producer slot by 2027,” the London-based oil and gas giant said.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has forecast that the nation could become a net exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as early as 2016, and a net exporter of total natural gas (including via pipelines) by 2020.

My thoughts:

1) no war against Iran, no need to clean up the mid east, no need to risk lifes against crazy arabs anymore, no need to develop that place, times are changing

2) the ball is rather in asia, including and foremost china, since their energy needs are going to rise sharply in the next years; if shtf in the ME, they would need to import crudes from ..... the US, LOL.

3) in the US: the dollar will rise again, and will stay the number one world currency; deficit is going to be reduced in a slow manner, credibility is restored in the US, debt is no problem anymore, recovery and economic outlook for the next 50 years = far above the average of the world.

4) in EU: debt crisis coming back in 2013, ...... .

5) wars: indirect wars, help from behind, help to help allies, but no more large ground wars, country invading wars.
China is going to understand, that she is energy dependant and that she needs to constrain herself.

6) US domestic politics: even if that sounds libtard, money and economic development will be enough to support a health care system for the poor, and to rebuild the country in terms of infrastructure. If done well the energy outbreak could even bring back manufacturing jobs.
You should get over the domestic divide between "libtards" and "rightwings", though. That doesn't serve right now in the light of events.

Mideast wars are not about oil, they are about Israel. Neocons believe in Israel before they believe in American interests.

True, but
1) republican party is the oil party
2) israel is not in peril, if it stays the number one military power in the ME
3) iran would not send a nuke to Israel, iran are perse, they are not arabs
4) a big mideast war, doesn't serve the US interest anymore, at least not enough to let marines die and spend money on it. The US has enough oil and gaz in its own soil.

Thats why the US doesn't care anymore, if egypt is run by the muslim brother hood, and syria is being torn apart by the greedy and double speak gulf states.

Times are changing right in front of our eyes. Good.

Nobody will ever pay back their debt, no country never ever will.

The US only needs to pay the interest rates. And if you can print money to do this, without payback, then there is no problem. At least not for now.

The underlying thruth of this is, that the markets have faith in the US, to get it straight sometime in the far future.

Up until then, they will profit, and they won't pull the plug.

Thats because the dollar is the world currency, means you have no problem with inflation.
