Alabama gives in to DHS by Executive Order

Money must be talking. This is really disturbing to see a southern state fold so easily. I wonder how many other states have this happening ?

That is a fact just look at the militarization of your local police, including the sheriff....all those toys come with federal strings attached.

I don't know how deeply the DH-SS has infiltrated the NJ government, but I was amazed to find how much of the paperwork and forms we have at work are all originated in the DH-SS!

They are everywhere and they watch everything. Herr Hess is most certainly smiling up at them from his flaming pit in hell! The position is funded through a grant by the Fed DHS. It's hard to tell which side he is on when you read through some of his responsibilities...

To prepare a comprehensive plan and program for homeland security, such plan and program to be integrated and coordinated with the plans of the federal government and of other states to the fullest possible extent, including plans for the security of critical infrastructure licensed or regulated by agencies of the federal government

To engage in the exchange of information with the United States federal government relating to immigration and efforts to improve the security of the borders, territorial waters, and ports of the United States

Most importantly....

Tax collections and enforcement.

I wonder how many states are mixing it up like this. The more I read the more I find. We have a "Fusion Center" for data storage, etc.

On April 16, 2011, Governor Robert Bentley signed Executive Order 13, directing organizational realignment of the Fusion Center within the Alabama Department of Homeland Security.

Additionally, it will serve as an intergovernmental bridge between federal, state, local and private entities to promote collaboration and information sharing.

Instead of DHS I will start to refer as DGI " Department of Government Insecurity" .

I was a member of the Alabama State Defense Force for a few years. It was a joke. We NEVER carried or trained with any weapons of any kinds, we were not allowed to carry them.
The only thing I did was to train with the local EMS and take fema courses. And the one time that we could have been called out by the state to do anything (during the tornadoes of 2011) We never got called out. After that I said screw it and Joined the Civil Air Patrol

Thoughts + Feelings = behavior. Yes at this point I think most would "fold" or give into the perceived good. Remember we ALL work towards pleasure and away from pain. Keep this in mind when you speak with your reps.

Because rejecting fed gov funds (contracts) will seem and feel awkward, specifically regarding finances, most (based on sociological motivation) corp. entities (police, fire, utility, government etc.) will continue to accept gov funds thus allowing DHS and all associated FED programs (its just a stupid corporation) to regulate and control counties/state THROUGH ACCEPTED CONTRACTS.

SPEAK TO THOSE WHO ACCPET THESE CONTRACTS AND ENACT YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT, STATE RIGHT, AND CONTRACTUAL RIGHT TO REJECT ALL FED CORP CONTRACTS.

Its typically presented on a significantly perceived "benefit." These are not BENEFICALLY at all, because of all the legal strings and points of performance, not including the shifting of revenue from one segment to another. Why do you think they data mine so much. They want to see who has the money and when they have it.

Point: Get off your lazy ass (if you actually care), organize your community and force THE SERVANTS TO WORK FOR YOU.

Its in the god damn rules. This is a freaking game that we are not even showing up to. Of course the rules and game will change in "their" favor, we collectively, are not challenging it.

When you were a kid and someone else 'madeup" rules and said those were the new rules, did you roll over or challenge that snot nosed piece of crap? Hopefully the majority of GLP observers were the ones who spoke up and did something about it.

Just think, if you dedicated 10% of your free time for one year, forced through legal, contractual disputes, change that would affect your local community. Remember the elements of a contract, consideration is the legal smoking gun, per se. Both parties involved in the contract MUST AGREE TO PERFORM. If the fed gov grants a contract that we accept but lacks equal consideration (ie; gov employees make a ton of money, great benefits, exempt from certain laws, raise during a recession, hard to fire, long terms etc.) This shit isnt fair? VOID THE GOD DAMN CONTRACTS.

Its there and available to everyone in every community. If nothing significant happens, it means not enough people care enough to challenge the right thing.

Awesome post ! Unfortunately, when was the last time the people were actually listened to and effected an outcome ? At this point you are brushed off as a looney or dealt with in other manners should you show some signs of success. However, you are right. If nothing gets started then there wil be nothing.

It wasn't much when I was in it,its less now, I have heard from friends that are still in that they even lost the right to where the uniform. Oh well, It was a good idea but now it nothing but retired people talk about when they where in the military. They couldn't keep any young people,like me in it.
OH YAY, Got to go direct traffic at the local fair, yeah, that was putting my training to work.

All I can say is good move for your hubby. The only reason I joined was I couldn't join the military, this was a close as I could get and I thought I was helping my state.
Now that I am in Civil Air Patrol (CAP) I feel like I am doing something worth while and I work with people that are true professionals. Of course the flying is great too

It depends on WHO that one man is; a federal govt lackey or a state appointed patriot.
