If that "money" loses most of it's value, will it still keep those agencies loyal? I have a really bad feeling that none of us will need money as we will be FEMA camp slaves working for a small piece of bread and thin potatoe soup each day. Arbeit Macht Frei! You know what's really funny about that ? The ones in office think they will be exempt from camp fema. Dumbasses. They will be some of the first to get crushed by the wheels of the machine. |

My understanding is that the DHS head in each state is on he Fed payroll. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Quoting: AC 5341 [link to www.dhs.alabama.gov] the departments by executive order as follows: The Alabama Department of Public Safety The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources The Alabama Department of Homeland Security The Alabama Department of Insurance / State Fire Marshal Additionally a bill is going to come through the state legislature to include additional departments... Governor Bentley also announced Tuesday that legislation aimed at further streamlining state-level law enforcement is currently being finalized and will be submitted to the Alabama Legislature during the 2013 Regular Session. The legislation will call for absorbing the law enforcement functions of the Alabama Public Service Commission, the Uniformed Division of the Alabama Department of Revenue and certain functions of the Law Enforcement Unit of the Alabama Department of Transportation into the Highway Patrol Division of the Department of Public Safety. Legislation will also call for absorbing the Investigative and Enforcement Unit of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Enforcement Division of the Alabama Forestry Commission into the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. This will help farmers and landowners by further protecting land and resources. Upcoming legislation will also call for absorbing the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center into the Alabama Department of Public Safety. Ths is the Alabama department of homeland security not federal dhs. It is my understanding it was created to keep the fed out as much as they can. |

We NEVER carried or trained with any weapons of any kinds, we were not allowed to carry them. The only thing I did was to train with the local EMS and take fema courses. And the one time that we could have been called out by the state to do anything (during the tornadoes of 2011) We never got called out. After that I said screw it and Joined the Civil Air Patrol Hubby was in that waste of time (ASDF) for a while too. He gave up on the "man scouts" a few years back. All I can say is good move for your hubby. The only reason I joined was I couldn't join the military, this was a close as I could get and I thought I was helping my state. Now that I am in Civil Air Patrol (CAP) I feel like I am doing something worth while and I work with people that are true professionals. Of course the flying is great too He joined for the same reason. Between having lost half his hearing, a third of his vision, and having seizures as the result of a bullet to the head as a child, no one else would take him. He'd love to do the same, but I seriously doubt he could pass any required vision test to gain a pilot's license. |
