Well yes and no. Dr. Greer is obviously an educated man. He's managed to do something no one has done prior, get a collection of highly credible military witnesses with a high level of exemplory record as well as technical ability. He's managed to create a public event at the National Press Club and market the program such that it got media attention. He's communicated well some ideas (some not so well) by persuading people to donate to the video production and yet also made the material available on places like youtube. Let's not totally belittle his accomplishments.

It will be very difficult to get scientists to study the phenomena because they fear loss of credibility. And yet, what could be more interesting to study from an academic perspective, and certainly should be examined from an Anthrological as well as a Theological perspective too.

I don't agree with his assertions. He's trying to communicate with Extraterrestrials. 1) We don't know if they are extraterrestrials. 2) Why not use standard protocols that have been devised by scientists at NASA and elsewhere? 3) The more such definition and adherance to protocol, the more likely you'd get funding and other scientists to be on the team.

If alien tech is being supressed then the main thing would be trying to find patents which demonstrate alien technology or show evidence of tech which cannot be explained by terrestrial means.
