A non-violent crime(s) with only $7,000 in damage? And this kid gets 8 years?
That's fucking bullshit. The worst he should be dealing with is community service and having to re-paint the areas he trashed, along with restitution to repay the damage. My guess is, he tagged someone's property who has power or influence and they got butthurt.
Someone should set up a legal fund for this kid. Sure, he's a piece of shit. But that's a completely unreasonable sentence.
