The Hohokam Indians lived in the area of what is now Phoenix. They built canals from the Gila and Salt Rivers to irrigate crops in the valley. Before Phoenix's population exploded and it was less developed, it was possible to see remnants of these ancient Hohokam canals, especially via aerial photographs. Pretty cool.

I was walking for a couple blocks outside in downtown Phoenix by the civic center a few years back at around 2 pm in July. It was 115 degrees. I remember feeling the warm air against my eyeballs as I walked and it felt like they were being dried out like when you stick your hands under the hot air blower in a public restroom.

Yeah, some people find beauty in spun out meth heads and millions of illegal mexicans. It's all just a matter of perspective.

Paradise Valley is the most upscale part of the Phoenix area..Scottsdale isn't what it used to be. And, even though I live in Phoenix, I can't make heads or tails of this entire discussion.

Prescott above Phoenix has the road Sheldon running through the middle of it

its also around CrownKing,AZ and also Kingman,AZ is above Phoenix

In terms up upscale ok you might be thinking of just homes Paradise valley doesnt have a road like Scottsdale road and fashion square area of Scottsdale.

Scottsdale is a main focal point for people coming to Phoenix not Paradise valley
