Interesting, for sure. We had one near Trinidad (southeast part of the state) last year I think but earthquakes are not common here at all.

A 3.9 mag hit just south of Grand Junction, Colorado. That's the western border of Colorado and Utah. Anyone east of the Rocky Mountains would not have felt it.

Re: Earthquake: M 4.4 - Colorado?!!?
It's been downgraded to 3.9. I live about 24 miles east of the epicenter and didn't feel it. But some people 60 miles north felt it. I feel robbed :/

Paradox Valley gets small quakes once every few years induced by injecting brine deep in the Earth (mentioned on this USGS page) [link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

There are also countless abandoned uranium mines everywhere. The epicenter is near an active copper mine and 5 miles from the site of a proposed new uranium mill.
