also what types of electronic are damaged by an emp
say for example a car is hit by emp. is just the
modules damaged ? or are any relays or sensors damaged?

supposedly there are covers for electronics cost a lot no idea if work.

not all cars will fail. issue for my area is power in general.

I wish I knew for sure there was a way.

remember have old phone that plugs in not cordless. in case phones still work
look into a device called cyber power. they got nice stuff for temporary power supply

Yeah... generally speaking one could also make a faraday cage with some kind of conductive mesh. The smaller the mesh the better the protection.

And I have also heard that a steel trash can works nicely. You can get a big one for maybe $20 at one of the chain hardware stores.

Anything with a chip will be toast; start burying shit, then again, if the grid goes down and the gadget still potentially works, it won't matter unless you have a functional generator (or solar powered generator) and lots of fuel to power it.

Wanted to buy an Airstream Trailer awhile back. Got talked out of that. I kick myself for listening to my elders sometimes.

unfortunately modern phone companies have what are called carrier systems, they are like gas filled boxes full of big modems. The are very sensitive to over and under current. The will be fried. Only out dated switching stations would work and the link to carrier systems..

Cars would most likely have to go back to a point type distributor. Mine is a point type upgraded to electronic so it is a matter of a few screws to revert it back.

We won't be getting zapped by any pulse from the Sun or in space as this planet is protected from all that stuff.
The only think we need to worry about are lightning strikes that are created inside Earth.

Stop worrying about shit like this, it'll just make you miserable.

Lets see where that confidence gets you.
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Mark 16:16 KJV
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Acts 2:38 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 8:6-9 KJV
6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Matthew 15:8-9 KJV
8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Acts 5:29 KJV
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

I can't say I'm worrying about it, but with NK's threats
I think an emp would be very effective at shutting down
large area's.
It's something I want to know more about.

ALL electronics are damaged. ALL. Everything. Get it.

Faraday Cages. Place shit in one of them and leave it there.

Watch shows like Doomsday Preppers and learn stuff.

Look up EMP on the net. If your going to do a post like this then do some homework and post information.

You guys have highspeed internet and don't use it to learn. Why Not...?

All vehicles that have electronic ignition switches won'r run after an EMP or CME.

Get a vehicle older than 84. Park it. Disconnect the Battery and store it in a faraday cage as well as walkie talkie's. Radio's and Ham Radio's. Anything you think you will need after the fact store in a cage.

well, electronic ignition came out in around 1975, same
with the electronic voltage regulator for the alt.
see I havn't found an answer to my question about is it just modules with chips inside, or are relay and sensors,
that contain fine wound coil would be burned as well.
sorry my post isn't up to your standards.

Re: Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) , what can we do
Some things expected will fail. Some won't depending on where they were at the time. Power grid probably will shut down in most spots, but not all cars will, old and new. Most anything in the lower levels of a parking garage will survive, so will many cars parked in attached garages.

Basic electronic ignition will work most likely, newer advanced one may not. Some cell phones will probably keep working, especially if plugged in at the time, but the network will be down. Generators will nearly all work, specifically the smaller non computer controlled ones.

Tube tv's are real likely to work, as will many standard radios. Gov will probably turn on the old analog tv signals to broadcast EAS. Won't be the end of the world, but will be a large pain in the ass.

It's about the only way out enemies can hit first and expect to have any chance for success in an invasion. Problem is they would have to set off about 50 of them world wide to actually take down our global defensive capabilities. TPTB aren't dumb, there is a real reason they have military capabilities world wide. Will be near impossible to bring down the u.s. via military men's in the next 300 years or so.

There's a lot of doomtard info on the internet, so use discretion.

The storage shed is a good start. To see how well it works, put an AM radio inside and see if you get a signal. (The majority of EMP energy is at AM frequencies and lower.)

You may have to get some copper tape and seal seams and joints, also make sure there are no penetrations like electrical power unless they have been properly protected, else all your work is for naught.

What shields microwaves well may not shield EMP well.

Take an AM radio and put it inside. See if it still picks up a signal.

Re: Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) , what can we do
Electronics can be protected easily simply by putting them into a concealed bag, suitcase or anything that's made of a conducting material. Tin foil actually works, although I would recommend going something like a thermal bag with tin foil coating, aluminum suitcase or something similar.

The conducting layer doesn't have to be very strong, and in fact it doesn't even have to be solid - a thin enough mesh made of conducting material does the same trick. This works because of the same reason why being inside a car protects you from lightning: the electric current runs on the outside of the conducting cage. In car it's the steel, electronics (external backup hard drives, laptops etc.) can be protected even with tin foil if nothing more suitable is available. The devices to be protected must be covered fully, or if put inside a suitcase or a bag they casing must enclose the device(s) from all sides.
