There has to be someone in the area willing to have a confidential conversation. If for no other reason than perhaps to have some of their own questions answered. I had the radio on but not loud enough to hear it. I turn it up thinking maybe I could catch what was going on. The local station mentioned nothing. At about 10:00 they break in from Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55". The guy said that he was hearing reports of an incident at Sandy Hook Elem and that surrounding schools was on lock down however, "I called my wife because she works at Newtown Middle School and she said they weren't on lock down and haven't heard anything about an incident. So it appears information has been mixed up. We need to get our stuff together before they tell me to report". He is not lying, only guilty of not having proofreading skills and clarity in writing (hardly a crime)...if you reread, he is listening to the radio station and the dj is talking about his wife. I agree. I didn't read that closely enough. In that light there are still no proven holes in his story. Someone even called Caraluzzi's and found out a Dave works there. It isn't the most unusual thing to hear that someone listens to a police scanner as a hobby/obsession, but it is not the most common thing. But consider the OP is an observant type and has his wits about him, could sense something was amiss, was willing to entertain conspiracy theories, and was attracted to GLP. He has a friend who would likely be similar in character and interests. Which makes it more likely than averate that this guy Dave, who works with OP's friend, would be the type to monitor scanners, to counteract the boredom of stocking or whatever in the a grocery store. The guys probly have a scanner set up in the break room or something like that. |

He couldn't run an indian restaurant (and I love Indian) bc he would be basically run out of town down to Monroe or Bridgeport... in CT Italian food is considered "exotic" even in Westport or Fairfield just an fyi .... |
