Some gov'ts are way ahead of the curve when it comes to computing power. Encryption can easily be broken by agencies like en. ess. ey. So when you encrypt all you are doing is putting up a red flag to look at your shit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32907732 i suggest lower tech, less obvious methods of obfuscating your data. but it's gotta be a clever technique that doesn't look like an encoded message. Like butter. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1663367 Poland 01/26/2013 05:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm wondering who might want to object to his dream to encrypt half of the internet? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32826048 if everyone starts using his application interface for "encrypting" half of the internet", everyone will be more traceable then before - because his encryption starts with a standardized authentication method. That's right. I knew something was wrong with Wikileaks when I saw them advocating encrypted connections for passing information. If you look at how a real leak was done (Climategate) you will see that the source knew better than to pass information in that way. |

I don't know all that much about him, but I have little objection to anything he said in that interview. Watch this. See if you don't think differently afterwards. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 26237455 United States 01/26/2013 06:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dotcom 'cooperated' in the 'spirit' of 'being a good corporate citizen', which apparently means ratting small fish out so the the top dog can stay king. Kim Dotcom thinks he can play both pirate and 'good corporate citizen' at the same time, but one cannot be both. [link to tech2.in.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32988422 he has never done anything wrong. he simply provided everyone in the world a file sharing service and the same DMCA that protects youtube google and your isp failed to protect him. whats more strange about this, is that somehow american law seems to apply to new zealand. this is tyranny at its finest. so why hasnt he been taken out or locked up even? no, he is allowed to take an even bigger step than he did with megaupload and earn more millions. cool story bro. |

Undestroyer Truth User ID: 17176870 United States 01/26/2013 10:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I havent looked into Kim yet but I do know from my research in the past that the NSA CIA own encription. When Pretty Good encription first debuted 128 bit encription the creator spent his fortune an life to keep the key away from tptb. He eventally lost and had to relinquish the key and it now against the law to create an unbreakable encryption without supplying the NSA CIA with access. I dont know where this leaves Kim in all of this but in my current knowledge I would say that you would have better luck hiding in the undernet then trying to hide anything on the internet. Imho hiding is overrated anyway. You cannot destroy my vision when you see my vision undestroyed because I am just an undestroyer. Ratted? The name of the game is to not get caught. Everyone breaks eventually. You can not make change when you are locked up. Using the word Ratted is prison and hoodlum talk. Not the talk of Men |

Banned as usual. “It is far easier to be a weakling than to be a Real Man. Were the Earth less harsh or the circumstances of life less austere, man would destroy himself before the shrine of the languid goddess. Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.” |
